In her educational endeavors, Anita’s focus has been on working with communities who have been underrecognized. Initially as an elementary school teacher, and later working as a university instructor who trained teachers, she recognized the need for greater awareness of ADHD and the importance of diagnosis and treatment for adults living with ADHD. Dr. Parhar has extensive experience in understanding the many ways ADHD presents in adults and the challenges many living with ADHD work through daily.
While having extensive experience managing the healthcare delivery of longitudinal family practice and episodic urgent care, Devon leads a diverse team of healthcare professionals providing services in occupational and disability medicine. Devon has previously worked at the UBC Faculty of Medicine Dean’s Office, providing administrative support for various educational, research and partnership initiatives provincially and nationally.
Passionate about public service and social justice, Chandler has held various roles supporting elected government officials, not-for-profit organizations, regulatory bodies, and post-secondary institutions. She understands the importance of responsible leadership to improve the well-being of our communities. She has a keen interest in the social determinants of health, neurodiversity, mental wellness, and health literacy.
As a tech-savvy marketing professional with extensive experience in tackling new initiatives, Casandra has expertise in marketing, social media and graphic design. Known for creating efficient systems to streamline workflows, she combines innovation and creativity to overcome challenges and create new opportunities. Her passion for mental health advocacy is deeply personal, influenced by growing up in environments where mental health was rarely discussed. Having worked closely with neurodivergent peers and children, she is committed to fostering inclusivity and understanding. When not working, Casandra enjoys a warm cup of orange pekoe tea while exploring new ideas.

After an ADHD diagnosis, apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). If approved, the DTC can provide a refund of past taxes and you pay reduced taxes in the future.
The purpose of the DTC is to provide for greater tax equity by allowing some relief for disability costs since these are unavoidable additional expenses for persons with disabilities that other taxpayers do not have to face.
