Dr. Anita Parhar, PhD

Director of Women's Health

In her educational endeavors, Anita’s focus has been on working with communities who have been underrecognized. Initially as an elementary school teacher, and later working as a university instructor who trained teachers, she recognized the need for greater awareness of ADHD and the importance of diagnosis and treatment for adults living with ADHD. Dr. Parhar has extensive experience in understanding the many ways ADHD presents in adults and the challenges many living with ADHD work through daily.

Director of Development

For over twenty years she has been working with business partners and healthcare professionals focused on increasing ADHD awareness and providing educational support for diagnosis and treatment. Colleen finds value and purpose in developing educational and partnership initiatives to better support women with their ADHD journey.

Alix is a Registered Midwife & Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Medicine- Division of Midwifery. Dusty Chipura is a master certified AACC-accredited ADHD coach and certified doula based in Vancouver, BC. Dusty coaches adults from all backgrounds and walks of life and uses an anti-oppressive, anti-racist framework to make her approach to coaching more accessible and inclusive. Dusty has a special interest in ADHD and pregnancy. Dr. Mitra Motamedi earned her Medical Degree in Turkey in 1990 and has a special interest in public health. Dr. Motamedi has been practicing family medicine in Vancouver since 2017 and is currently a clinical instructor at UBC. ADHD Assessment

$300

The assessment includes a review of past health, current symptoms, family history, and co-existing conditions.

ADHD Consultation Report with detailed treatment recommendations reviewed and  the Women’s Health Director and ADHD Consultant-Nurse Practitioner.

You can share the ADHD consultation report with your family physician/nurse practitioner to start treatment. The report serves as an official medical documentation of ADHD diagnosis and recommendations.

An innovative program designed by our organization for adult’s grappling with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). BEST is not just a program; it’s a transformative experience committed to empowering individuals with ADHD to unlock their full potential, fostering personal growth, and building a resilient foundation for success.

DTC Application

$350

After an ADHD diagnosis, apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). If approved, the DTC can provide a refund of past taxes and you pay reduced taxes in the future.

The purpose of the DTC is to provide for greater tax equity by allowing some relief for disability costs since these are unavoidable additional expenses for persons with disabilities that other taxpayers do not have to face.
